I have defined a function, and plotted it here (the red curve). I would like to know the value of the function at x=1, which I can tell from the plot will be at about 0.99992. However, if I type "N[l[1],10]", the value "1." is returned. I have tried a few different values for the level of precision (1,10,50,5000) but it makes no difference. I expected "N[l[1],10]" to return the value to 10 digits, but this is clearly not happening. Does anyone know how to resolve this?
