Hi All, I have the same problem (Suse7.3, new installation). But the links given by Tom Zeller are not working. Another thing in this context is also the message "kio8-r encoding" not found. Thanks in advance D.Niedenzu
>After upgrading to redhat linux 6.2, I find mathematica 4.0 coming up with the error ''The Mathematica fonts are not properly installed in your system. WIthout these fonts, typeset mathematical expressions cannot be displayed properly.'' A check of available fonts using the command xlsfonts shows that all of the mathematica fonts (as listed in the fonts.dir files) are there. This happens when I run mathematica off of CDROM, off of hard disk, and also after having put the SystemFiles/Fonts directory in the xfs search path. Any ideas as to what may be causing the problem and/or how to fix it? Thanks. > >Merit Hong > >>A message with the title: startup problem under redhat linux 6.2 was inadvertantly lost, please repost. >> >>Forum Moderator
