I am trying to integrate (definite limits) the complex conjugate of a function multiplied by the function after a differential operator has operated on the function. Mathematica 4.2 simply spits the integral back at me with the word Conjugate[function] written where the complex conjugate should be without integrating it! Is ther e some method to using complex conjugates in Mathematica I am not aware of? I am trying to apply the complex conjugate function to e^I*Phi, where Phi is a variable of integration. I could type in the complex conjugate of the function, but what would be the point of using Mathematica then?? Thanks for any help I get.
