I am running Mathematica 5.0 for students on linux kernel 2.4.22. My window manager is enlightenment or icewm. There seem to be several bugs I've encountered:

1) In Worksheets the Del key doesn't delete.
2) In Worksheets Shift+Enter doesn't cause cell evaluation.
3) In the Help utility hyperlinks are not working.
4) there are probably others but the above things make Mathematica too inconvient for me to use which I'd like remedied.

There was a similiar post to this but the response is outdated for Mathematica 5.0. What are the new instructions?
