this is what i wrote to simulate foraging by a butterfly; i am having trouble understanding why the "if" condition is not evaluated properly, and why the array for "patprob" doesn't show the values but shows 'p,2" etc. i am having other problems, too, as you can see with the results, but perhaps they will be solved once i get this "if" correct.
