I have created a function which returns a series of nonlinear equations. I use this function within FindRoot to solve the set of equations. My problem is that when FindRoot runs it prints the return to the console, i.e. the set of equations is displayed in the console. Considering it is a set of 40 equations the output can be very, very long if findroot has many iterations. Is there any way to suppress Return[] from writing to the console? I will be running the kernel from a unix prompt on Mac OSX if this helps.

A simplification of the code is:

fcn = Function[
Return[setofequations];
];

FindRoot[Extract[fcn[],1],setofinitialguesses];

So for every iteration of FindRoot, the function fcn returns setofequations to the console. Anyone have an idea??? Thanks in advance.
