Hi, does anybody knows why Mathematica 5.1. cannot maximize this? (Please see attachment). Both NMaximize and Maximize gives this this wrong answer:
{117.749, {P -> 47.4128, X -> 25.4176}}
This is not a max and the function at this point should yield 49.4948.
I know there are other specifications to avoid including the boolean, but I thought Maximize (or other optimization function) should be able to handle a boolean function... does anybody knows how to do it, or an alternative way?
