I am taking a numerical analysis course and I am using the book by burden. I need to use mathematica to perform numerical calculations like the bisection method, newton's method, etc. The book has the code for mathematica to perform root finding using these and other methods. The problem is I am not a programmer. I do not understand what to do with the code I have been given. Do I type it in as I see it or what ? Please help
