I am a PhysChem graduate, creating a program to analyse diffraction data, and would like to know if mathematica is capable of fitting a peak in a data set and simultaneously fitting the corresponding peak in the next data set, fitting the fisrt peak to intensity, the second to intensity plus a factor n, (in this case corresponding to the polarisation correction which varies for each data set)
The reason is that I want to average numerous data set fits accurately with the correction factor, and I have a lot of noise in my data so this seems to me to be the best solution. I just don't know if it is possible.
Thank you
Amy
