I am new user and facing some probs, it wil be really encouraging if u can help me thru this.
I am trying to maximize a sybmolic expression, say for example
Maximize[p(alpha - beta*p),p]
There is no answer to the function and the error displayed is
"The objective function p\(α-p\β) contains a nonconstant expression α \ independent of variables {p}.
I even tried to use Setattributes command to declare alpha as Constant, but...
