Hello,

I'm trying to use the function FindRoot within a function, but it will not work and I get non-helpful error messages. Here is what I've tried to do in a simplified way:

(Note that findroot returns errors even when the function is not passing it a variable)

Function[d,FindRoot[AnyExpression,{x,0,4}]][Number to be passed to function]

Am I doing something extremely niave here? Any help would be much appreciated.
