                         SECOND CALL FOR PAPERS
                               ISSAC'91

                      International Symposium on
                  Symbolic and Algebraic Computation

                    July 15-17, 1991 Bonn, Germany

The Conference
--------------

ISSAC'91 is the sixteenth in a series of conferences originated in 1966.
It is now the major annual forum for the exchange of ideas and techniques
in symbolic mathematical computation.

This is a conference for the users of computer algebra as well as the
designers of algorithms and systems. It will feature original research
contributions and application reports as well as invited lectures,
tutorials and demonstrations of hardware and software.

The topics of the conference include, but are not limited to:

* Algorithms, languages and systems for symbolic and algebraic computation
* Applications in mathematics, science and engineering
* Automatic theorem proving and programming
* Computational geometry, group theory and number theory
* Interface and integration of symbolic, numeric and graphical computing
* Influence on education

Instructions for Authors
------------------------

Submissions of two forms are being sought: ``full papers'' presenting
original research in areas related to the conference (up to 10 pages)
and ``application reports'' on the use of computer algebra in
other areas (2 pages).

Authors should prepare 10 copies. Submissions are due by January 15, 1991
to either one of the Program Committee Co-chairs. All submissions will
be refereed. Authors will be notified of acceptance or rejection by
March 15, 1991. The final camera-ready version of the paper is due
by April 15, 1991 for inclusion in the proceedings which will be available
at the Conference.

Proposals for tutorials, panel discussions and demonstrations are also wanted.
