MATHSOURCE CALL FOR MATERIALS ----------------------------- MathSource is a collection of Mathematica packages, Notebooks, examples, and programs contributed by Mathematica users worldwide and by Wolfram Research. The purpose of MathSource is to provide a means for this material to be stored in an organized fashion and available to users via electronic mail, anonymous ftp, and direct dialup. MathSource includes many types of Mathematica-related material such as: Mathematica packages and applications in all fields Mathematica Notebooks for Macintosh, NeXT, and Microsoft Windows Mathematica technical reports and other documentation Mathematica examples, including graphics, animations, and sounds Mathematica news and information MathSource is accessible through electronic mail on all major computer networks, as well as through anonymous ftp and direct dialup. MathSource is organized as a collection of items, each item containing various subitems. In a typical case, there is one subitem or more consisting of versions of a particular package, together with other subitems containing documentation in various formats for the package, or examples of its use. Note that MathSource can also handle binary programs that operate with Mathematica. Among MathSource's special features are: Keyword-based searches Material returned in ASCII, TeX, PostScript, or Notebook format Compression and encoding for Unix, PC, and Macintosh systems Automatic notification of new material and updates For detailed information on using MathSource send a single-line message help intro to mathsource at wri.com.
