Hello
Usually I work on my NextStation (NextStep 3.1) with the Mma Notebook.
But sometimes I use mma also on the Unix Terminal of my Nextstation.
On this terminal I use the "tcsh", which is much more convenient then
the usual "csh". Inspecially I can use my cursor keys to insert or
to change the characters in the current line, which I have already
written (or change old inputs).
Unfortuntely these is not possible in mma and this makes me sometimes
really angry.
Instead of going left with a cursor, I get :"^[[D"; and "^[[C" with
my right cursor.
On the tcsh, I can go up and down in the history of the already given
commands (this is very useful !).
Does anyone already got the cursors working, or does anyone know how
to change e.g. the init.m file (I use the standard
/Mathematica22.app/StartUp/init.m ), so that the terminal version accept
the cursor keys. Without this abilities the current terminal version
is really on a unacceptable stage.
Best wishes
