I work in Department of Fluid
Dynamics in the Institute mentioned in my address. Therefore I am interested
in the theoretical mechanics. My second interest is COMPUTER GRAPHICS
I would like to apply 3DGraphics packet of Mathematica to 4DGraphics.
My objective is a " realistic description " of four dimensional world in
a form of some science-fiction for children ( with cars and their
wheels, alpinists with their ropes and knots, painters with their tools
and paintings ) , and visualization of 4D relations in the applied maths.
The language of Mathematica would be very useful to obtain
pictures of 4D objects. Particularly I need some 3D-pictures of
4D-solids (primitives and their Boolean products) from the
viewpoint of a 4D-painter, which uses perspective and hidden lines
principles in four dimensions.I would need the source code of those options.
Next step is a visualization of the 3D-picture on a 2D-screen
- now without any hidden area, but using translucency in colours.
Which Mathematica program would give the effect of TRANSLUCENCY ?
If my last requests are too advanced , I will be grateful for your
response just to the first one.
Yours sincerely , Tadeusz Slupski
