Dear Mathematica user:

Wolfram Research, Inc., is pleased to offer Mathematica Basic Training.

This one-day course provides new users with a solid foundation in the
basic capabilities of Mathematica. It will quickly familiarize you
with Mathematica, providing a thorough introduction to using the
system's numeric, symbolic, graphical, and programming features in a
problem solving framework. Participants will learn how to apply
Mathematica to real-world projects and solve technical problems they
encounter on a daily basis.

Hands on training covers:

        *Numerics
                * basic functions
                * precision and accuracy
                * special numeric functions
        *Graphics
                * 2-D and 3-D plotting
                * animation
                * data plotting
                * special graphics functions
        *Symbolics
                * symbolic algebra
                * calculus
                * equation solving
        *Programming
                * use Mathematica's programming language to customize
                    functions and design your own solutions
        *Special Topics
                * Mathematica's help systems
                * using the notebook front end to keep track of work
                  in progress, produce publication-quality technical
                  reports and presentations, and create courseware

The course will be held in Champaign, Illinois, site of the corporate
headquarters of Wolfram Research. A computer will be provided for each
participant. Course instructors are Wolfram Research staff highly
skilled in training with Mathematica.
