Wolfram Research, Inc., is pleased to offer Mathematica Basic Training.
This one-day course provides new users with a solid foundation in the
basic capabilities of Mathematica. It will quickly familiarize you
with Mathematica, providing a thorough introduction to using the
system's numeric, symbolic, graphical, and programming features in a
problem solving framework. Participants will learn how to apply
Mathematica to real-world projects and solve technical problems they
encounter on a daily basis.
Hands on training covers:
*Numerics
* basic functions
* precision and accuracy
* special numeric functions
*Graphics
* 2-D and 3-D plotting
* animation
* data plotting
* special graphics functions
*Symbolics
* symbolic algebra
* calculus
* equation solving
*Programming
* use Mathematica's programming language to customize
functions and design your own solutions
*Special Topics
* Mathematica's help systems
* using the notebook front end to keep track of work
in progress, produce publication-quality technical
reports and presentations, and create courseware
The course will be held in Champaign, Illinois, site of the corporate
headquarters of Wolfram Research. A computer will be provided for each
participant. Course instructors are Wolfram Research staff highly
skilled in training with Mathematica.

Registration: 8:00 - 8:30 am
Morning session: 8:30 - noon
Lunch 12:00 noon - 1:00 pm
Afternoon Session: 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm
There will be one short refreshment break during each session.
All course materials (workbooks, diskettes, pens, note pads, etc.) will
be provided.
