I am not aware of anyone having written an installable MathLink program
specifically for this purpose.
However, the Mathematica Link for Word gives the kernel this capability.
It provides an AppleScript["script text"] function. Word, rather than
some small installable MathLink program, is the agent that executes
AppleScript on the kernel's behalf.
