The final agreements between Academic Press and Miller Freeman were signed last week for the transfer of The Mathematica Journal. Wolfram Research, Inc. has simultaneously granted Academic Press a license to use the Mathematica name and logo for the Journal. Academic Press has a strong and growing list of Mathematica-related publications, and publishes more than 200 journals. Their commitment to continuing and strengthing the relationship with Wolfram Research, Inc. is very clear, and their experience in Journal publishing and fulfillment is expected to enable The Mathematica Journal to grow quickly in both domestic and international markets. A letter to subscribers from Academic Press and press releases from both Wolfram Research, Inc. and Academic Press will be sent soon. If anyone has articles ready for The Mathematica Journal they should send the information, articles, ideas, etc directly to Chuck Glaser at Academic Press. Academic Press is committed to publishing the second issue of the Journal as quickly as possible. Regards, Scott Brew Wolfram Research, Inc.
