The command OptionQ mentioned here by Olivier Gerard et al. are apparantly undocumented in both v.2 or v.3 of Mma, and it is available at least in v.2.2, if not earlier. Why is it not documented? More specifically, can Wolfram person tell us if there is any reason not to use OptionQ? Since OptionQ is available in v.2.2, and still not documented in v.3, I assume there is a reason or perhaps it's an oversight? This is the first time I'm exposed to OptionQ -- a function I always wanted. (yes, I was writing my own before) Apparantly, it is not mentioned in Roman Maeder's Programming in Mathematica, 2nd ed. either. Is it mentioned in the 3rd editon? Also, can anyone say which book mentions OptionQ? Xah xah at best.com http://www.best.com/~xah/SpecialPlaneCurves_dir/specialPlaneCurves.html Mountain View, CA, USA
