As previously reported, some UNIX systems fail to print notebooks using the correct fonts. In particular, boldface input lines (the default) are not printed in bold. This turns out to be because some versions of 3.0.0 were shipped without the AFM font metric files for Courier! The problem was fixed in 3.0.2 (and perhaps already in 3.0.1). There is also a workaround: The missing fonts can be downloaded by following the instructions in http://www.wolfram.com/support/Systems/Unix/FE/MissingAFM.html (but please note that the $TopDirectory path is given incorrectly, and should be $TopDirectory/SystemFiles/Fonts/AFM). The only font metrics actually needed are for the 4 Courier fonts, and perhaps also the Symbol font. Tevian Dray tevian@math.orst.edu
