howdy, my system is running on: NT4SP5 128MB Ram Mathematica 3.01 (Student) I want to find a numerical Solution for an equation (containing some Bessel-functions) ...==0 So I use FindRoot. As starting point I give a close value (5.6 which is close to the solution 5.68254). Mathematica starts to calculate and I watch the memory consumptions. When it is close to 90MB (whole System, including mathematica) it stops saying: Out of Memory. Exiting. Is there a bug? It should at least be able to use up to 120MB before exiting. Any Hints?
