I've just spent the last few hours rifling through "the book" V3 finding
no means of performing the Evaluation Group mechanism, and indeed found
it mentioned explicitly in my V2.2 front-end docs.

The only reason I keep a copy of clunky old MathCAD3.1 (for Mac) around
is that it provides this "spreadsheet-like" response capability, which
is quite useful when one needs to play what-if parametric variations on
sizeable multi-cell models.

So I join David M.F. Chapman and ask again: any way to emulate such
useful behavior in Mathematica V3? Does anyone at WRI wish to answer
why this feature remains missing in V3.X?

Regards,
