Thanks for your response. Among the many errors that I get are : (see end of
email).
(this one opens in a separate message window and casts a doubt on the
validity of all other messages - I am not using any graphics, just a
complicated (extremely) function which is integrated over three variables and
summed over the fourth).

These errors do not occur over the Linux systems on which the same version of
Mathematica is installed.

Other ununderstandable errors are : HoldBoxes[MakeBoxes[.........]]]]]]]]
kind.

Second - could you suggest a way in which I could do an integration using a
Monte Carlo technique in Mathematica ? I have read the Mathematica book and
that seems to indicate the option MaxPoints, but even on trying it with an
abnormally low setting of MaxPoints with this complicated function on my
Linux systems, the calculation seems to take as long. What is more, the
difference between the Monte Carlo result and the adaptive recursive
algorithm used by default is zero :-)

The relvant statements are :

value:=Sum[Integrate[....,{},{},{}],{}];
Print[value/.(MaxPoints->200)];

What is going on ?
