Is it possible to do font kerning(adjust spacing between characters)
with Mathematica?

I want to use the Times New Roman font to create study guides since most
text books seem to us this font. However, the characters are so close
together, it can make it more very difficult to read. Courier New is a
Monotype font that I have used, but it just doesn't look right for
math/technical notes.

   I'm open to other suggestions.

Danny Mathews
