Hi,
This seems to be a 4.0 problem. Here you can see the leak:
In[1]:=
$Version
Out[1]=
"4.0 for Power Macintosh (July 26, 1999)"
In[2]:=
Do[Print[MemoryInUse[]]; ListConvolve[{1, 2, 3}, {2, 3, 4}],
  {10}]
1807012
1807116
1807132
1807148
1807164
1807180
1807196
1807212
1807228
1807244
However, no leak in the following configurations:
$Version
4.1 for Power Macintosh (November 2, 2000)
Do[Print[MemoryInUse[]];ListConvolve[{1,2,3},{2,3,4}],{10}]

1918772
$Version
4.1 for Mac OS X (April 10, 2001)
