I'm not clear as to what you mean by "direct" product. Ordinary
multiplication of matrices A, B is handled by "Dot": A.B or Dot[A, B]. If
you take A*B you will get a term-by-term product, which would be meaningless
in matrix theory. An ample discussion about products is found in The Book or
in the on-line Help Browser.
