Hello. I am a newbie in Mathematica and I can't figure this out. I want to
define a differential operator p=-i \hbar \del
like the one used in quantum mechanics for momentum. But when I enter it in
the Hamiltonian (e.g. H=p^2/(2m) ) I want Mathematica to perform all the
appropriate symbolic calculations, in particular for this example, it should
convert \del^2 to \lapl. Can this be done?
