You might use ImplicitPlot:
In[1]:=
<< "Graphics`ImplicitPlot`"
In[2]:=
eqn1 = (x - 2)^2 + 2*(y - 3)^2 ==
    6;
In[3]:=
ImplicitPlot[eqn1, {x, -2, 6}];
In[4]:=
eqn2 = x^3*y + y^3 == 9;
In[5]:=
ImplicitPlot[eqn2, {x, -8, 8}];

How can I plot functions like:
(x-2)^2 + 2(y-3)^2 = 6
and
x^3y + y^3 = 9
using Mathematica?
