Here are two methods.
n = 20;
x = Array[Random[] & , {n}];
y = x^2 + 0.1*Array[Random[] & , {n}];
ListPlot[Transpose[{x, y}],
PlotStyle -> {Red, PointSize[0.02]}];
Show[Graphics[{Red, PointSize[0.02],
Point /@ Transpose[{x, y}]}]]
