Hi,
here is a possible solution:
fun=Table[Sin[k x],{k,0,5}];AppendTo[fun,Cos[x]];
hue=Table[Hue[k/7],{k,0,6}];
txt=Table["Sin("<>ToString[k]<>" x)",{k,0,5}];AppendTo[txt,"Cos(x)"];

g=PolarPlot[Evaluate[fun],{x,-Pi/2,Pi/2},PlotStyle->hue,
       AxesLabel->{\[Theta],\[Psi]},
       DisplayFunction->Identity];
ShowLegend[g,{Transpose[{hue,txt}],LegendPosition->{.8,.1},
     LegendSize->{.6,.5}, LegendShadow->{.02,-.02}}]
