Palettes stay behind other open windows

Dear All, Is there some way of configuring Mathematica 7 to have the active palettes being showed whenever one has the Mathematica main window on the front? As it is now, the palette window stays behind other opened windows, which is tremendously inconvenient, as one has to look for the palette window behind the other opened windows (of other programs). My operating system is Fedora 10. Thanks in advance, Paul
