If RSolve cannot solve the recurrence equation, use a recursive
definition of the function.

Clear[w]

w[0] = 2;
w[n_Integer?Positive] := w[n] =
   w[n - 1] - 0.02/w[n - 1];

data = Table[{n, w[n]}, {n, 0, 50}];

ListPlot[data]
