linux has xpdf and TeX and post-script (non-proprietary pdf per say) btw: linux default for post script or pdf is "safe" (do not execute embedded scripts or executables) btw: linux 3D has problems. this isn't due to Ubantu or linux but to video card manufacturers refusing to release drivers and tampering with OpenGL and etc. i don't think they want free 3D do you? have you read the 3D problem reports for linux? well. not as bad as for win95 (which are now hidden from public view) but still!
