(Second submission, roughly the same question)
I run Mathematica 2.0 on a PS/2 with an 8514A graphics adapter. I'm having
difficulty generating 3D Plots and Density Plots with solid gray or
solid colored regions instead of the "stippled" approximation of a particular
gray or color. This setup can show 256 colors out of a 2^24 palette. Why
am I getting such inferior results? Everything is configured as it should
be. My Mac at home gives me great renderings with, in essence, exactly the
same hardware. Can anyone help me in my plight? Is this a known problem?
