I am a newcomer to this list. I make my living as a computer
consultant and do research through my non-profit, the Vanguard
Research Institute. I also write for various publications, and am
planning articles on Mathematica. This is to encourage members of
the list to post summaries of open issues on Mathematica: bugs and
workarounds, favorite routines and cute tricks, gripes and
suggested improvements. I would also like to hear about your
results with products used with Mathematica, both software and
hardware, especially color printers and scanners.

I am presently planning to use Mathematica to illustrate several
ideas on nanotechnology, and for simulation modeling of several
ecological and urban problems. Any thoughts on these subjects
would be welcome.
