Dear Riccardo,
AVS is a visualization system sold by Digital Equipment Corp.
You may find more information about AVS in any DEC software catalog
since 1991; you should contact a DEC representative in Italy for a
free copy and more information.
SEQUOIA, a Corporate-University initiative for supercomputing applications,
is using AVS.
AVS is not made by DEC, just sold by it. Alan Barnum-Scrivener is the
West Coast AVS representative. The internet address for Alan is
abs at avs.com

I hope this is helpful.
Regards,
Steve Pazan
