animation using front end

I have an animation sequence 

	Needs["Graphics`Animation`"]

	Animate[Graphics[{...},{t,1,nanimate,1}]

that works fine when I run it using just the kernel.
When I use the frontend, however, nothing happens.

Can anyone help me figure this out??
