I would like to know what the name of the MathLink library is for
the various Unix architectures. Generally, the library is named libML.
This is true for AIX, DEC/alpha, DEC/MIPS, SGI Irix 5, HP/UX 9, and
Sun 4 operating systems. For Solaris 2, its libMLelf.a. Are there
any other exceptions? What about NetBSD, Linux, IBM RS/6000, HP/UX 10?

I'm trying to build a MathLink application across multiple Unix
platforms. It would have been convenient if Mathematica came with
an architecture-dependent Bin sub-directory because the name of
the library would always be the same, and it would allow multiple
binaries to be installed on the same file server.

Thanks in advance.
