Plotting multivalued functions

   What is the simplest method to plot a multivalued function in MMA?  I'm 
not real good at convert f[x,y,z]=constant type functions to parametric 
equations so that isn't a preferred method for me.  I want to plot a before 
and after starin ellipsoid.
