I suggest you check with WR.  I have an older version of Mathematica, so
I'm not sure if what I'm about to say applies to your version.  I tried
constraining the independent variables, but had no luck at all.  I called
Wolfram to determine the problem and was told that it simply didn't work,
even though the book obviously shows that it will.  You seem to have gotten
farther than I, in terms of constraining the independent variables, so you
might have a newer version of Mathematica than I.
