Filenames (Win95)

Hi!

I have the following problem:
Filenames of packages with names > 8 characters are read in a cut-off form
by Mathematica for windows (version 2.2).

Does anyone know if there is a way to let Mathematica look at the full names?
(The windows explorer can read them correctly)
