GroebnerBasis

A couple of colleagues of mine say their experience is that Mathematica 2.2's
GroebnerBasis is too slow to be usable in some situations. Wolfram
literature states that 3.0 speeds up GroebnerBasis.

Can you supply any substantial examples demonstrating such a speedup
that makes a significant difference in practice?
