AN INVITATION TO The Fourth Asian Technology Conference in Mathematics (ATCM'99) December 17 - 21, 1999 Guangzhou Normal University (GNU) Guangzhou P.R. China Web site at http://www.cs.runet.edu/~atcm/ or http://www.guangztc.edu.cn/~atcm99 Applications of Technology in Mathematics Research and Teaching for the 21 Century * How is technology being used in teaching and research in mathematics? * How is technology being used in the assessment in mathematics education? * Would you like to have your paper included in a refereed Electronic (and hard copy) Proceedings? The ATCM'99 will consist of plenary sessions by invited speakers, parallel sessions by contributed papers, and tutorial sessions on software and hardware relevant to research and teaching. Books, software and hardware will be on display. We have attracted over 400 people representing over 20 countries at ATCM98-Japan. E-mail: atcm at runet.edu IMPORTANT DATES * June 15, 1999 : deadline for submission of abstracts (Partial selected abstracts will be invited to submit full papers) * July 30, 1999 : deadline for submission of full papers. The full papers will be refereed. * August 30, 1999 : notification of acceptance The ABSTRACT must show title, author(s) and affiliation(s) and must not exceed on an A4 or letter size page. The FULL PAPERS should not exceed 10 pages. Selected full papers presented at the conference will be compiled in the Electronic (and hard copy) Proceedings. We will also distribute Hard Copy Proceedings at the conference to the participants. ABSTRACTS should be submitted by electronic mail. When submitted by mail, they must be in either LaTeX (no special style file other than those provided in LaTeX format, or in HTML (Hyper Text Markup Language), or ASCII text form. FULL PAPERS should be sent by electronic mail, too. The registration fee of US$220 will cover the cost of registration materials, conference programs, proceedings, and morning and afternoon teas. For registration, please send the completed registration form, with your registration fee in the form of a Bank Draft or Cashier Check in US Dollars payable to ATCM99 Committee.
