Notebook Tutorial

Is there a tutorial available on manipulating notebooks?

For example, I would like to evaluate an expression in one notebook and
have the result appear in another notebook; such as:
Show[graphicssutff] being evaluate in Notebook One, and the actual
graphic appear in Notebook Two.
