Wolfram Research, Inc. announces the beta release of Publicon, a
professional-quality document creation environment, offering
outstanding technical capabilities and interactive ease. Publicon
documents can include images, formulas, text, and even sounds.

Because Publicon is based on the Mathematica front end technology,
Publicon files are identical in format to Mathematica notebooks, and
users of Mathematica will be familiar with the typesetting and
expression editing capabilities.

Wolfram Research has announced that future versions of Publicon will
support export of Publicon files to TeX, as well as importing and
formatting TeX expressions.

The beta release of Publicon is now available for the Windows platform.
To download it, visit our site at http://www.publicon.com.

Publicon is slated for release in the fourth quarter of 1998. Publicon
will be available for Windows, Macintosh, and X Windows platforms.
