Nothing to add to David's reply, just a remark on the "Exiting-out of
memory" error: That's a bug in Mathematica 3.0.1 for Windows (maybe also in Mathematica
3.0.0). There is a patch of the MathKernel.exe file available (dated
31.08.1998), but I don't remember its place on the WRI site. Because its
size is just 47 KB, I could mail it.
