Hi,
is there a way to constrain Spline[] or a substitute of it so that
it will have a maximum at one of the given data points?
For some log-likelihood curve I have 9 points {{val,loglike},...}
of which I know that one of them is at the maximum likelihood value,
but if I use Spline[data,Cubic] the maximum is often somewhere
between the known points (and at the wrong place for my purposes].

Is there any Mathematica construct?
I would also look for an implementation of this in C or C++?
Any hint would be welcome, and could you please cc your answer to
me (beerli at genetics.washington.edu)

Thanks
Peter
