Is this the sort of thing you are looking for?

In[1]:=Integrate[1/z,{z,1,I,-1,-I,1}]

Out[1]=2 I \[Pi]

The {z,1,I,-1,-I,1} specifies a diamond-shaped contour in the complex z
plane that encloses the pole in 1/z at the origin.
