The book "The Beginner's Guide to Mathematica, Version 3" by Jerry Glynn
and Theodore Gray has a chapter (60) on "The Units Calculator". The
electronic version of the book makes the conversion factors into a nice
palette. Their example (if you get the electronic version) could
probably be easily modified to suit your needs.
