We have Mathematica 3.0 installed on a central Sun server, used remotely
by a number of users under X-windows (Solaris CDE) from different workstations.
What is the best way to allow each user to change the default printer?

The only way I've been able to find is to add a line to the user's
.Xdefaults file:
   XMathematica*printCommand: lp -d printername

Isn't there some way to do this within Mathematica's options or
preferences? Changing X resources is a awkward approach.

Similarly, is there a way to make the default print destination under
File->Print to be "Print to" instead of "File"?

Thanks for any help.
